+PRAYER IN THIS LATE TIME IN MY LIFE+

"I may be growing older, Dear Lord, but I will never outgrow my need to talk with you. I have come a long way in my life, and I thank you for helping me get this far. May you continue to watch over me each day.

You are my dearest Friend and keeper, and You know I had my ups and downs in my life. Although there have been some sorrows, I have always been blessed with many joys and blessings. Now that I am in my later years, please give me the strength and energy to carry on in the best ways I can. I am glad to be alive, Lord. Keep me safe from harm. Let me be free as possible from any health and resources worries.

I hope to take things a little easier at his time in my life. Of course at my age, it is understandable that I am not able to do quite as much as I used to. I am slower now and sometimes it takes me a while to get going. So please help others to be kind, patient and tolerant and understanding towards me. And may I always remember to treat them the same way -- may be even better.

Let me look forward to each new day, Lord. Be merciful and bless my remaining years with happiness and with loved ones especially my family, who care.

The Serenity Prayer

Everyone has been hurt, offended, betrayed, and mistreated at some point. Sometimes those wounds are small and easy to move past, but other times they are deep and take time to heal. The important thing is that we choose to forgive so that we can open the door to God’s forgiveness in our own lives.

Forgiveness is such a powerful tool. Forgiveness sets you free and draws you closer to your Heavenly Father. One of the first things my mother did when she found out she had stage four cancer of the liver was to ask the Lord to search her heart for any unforgiveness. She didn’t want anything to block her prayers for God’s healing. And now more than twenty years later, she still has a perfectly clean bill of health!

Whenever you pray, invite the Lord to search you heart. Choose to forgive anyone that has hurt you. As you walk in forgiveness, you’ll experience His hand of blessing in ways you never thought possible and you will move forward in the abundant life He has in store for you.

A Prayer for Today

Father in Heaven, I invite you to search my heart and mind. I choose forgiveness so that I can receive your forgiveness in return. I love You and bless You today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Should you despair over a relationship gone bad; Think of the person who has never known what it's like to love and be loved in return.

Should you grieve the passing of another weekend; Think of the woman in dire straits, working twelve hours a day, seven days a week to feed her children.

Should your car break down, leaving you miles away from assistance; Think of the paraplegic who would love the opportunity to take that walk.

Should you notice a new gray hair in the mirror; Think of the cancer patient in chemo who wishes she had hair to examine.

Should you find yourself at a loss and pondering what is life all about, asking what is my purpose? Be thankful. There are those who didn't live long enough to get the opportunity.

Should you find yourself the victim of other people's bitterness, ignorance, smallness or insecurities; Remember, things could be worse. You could be one of them!

Should you decide to send this to friends; Thank you, you may have touched their lives in ways you will never know!
